There are many causes of vestibular disorders. The most common vestibular disorder is called Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo or BPPV. In BPPV, crystals in the inner ear called otoconia are knocked loose from their natural positions and float into the semi-circular canals. This causes sensations of having the world spin around you when your position changes and the crystals move in the canals.

Vestibular Rehabilitation
Many vestibular disorders can be resolved in just a couple treatments! Our treatment may involve specific head movements to guide loose otoconia back to where they belong. This treatment is then followed by activities to improve balance and prevent recurrence of the vestibular disorder.
