Did you know that your balance system is made up of three main components? That’s right! They are vision, proprioception, and the vestibular system (inner ear). The physical therapists at Color Country Physical Therapy are trained to determine which of these components may be affecting your overall balance, and are trained to improve each of these areas.

Can I really improve my balance?
What does balance training look like?
After determining which component of your balance needs improving, our physical therapists will lead you through activities based on your individual needs. These activities may include standing on foam with your eyes closed, walking heel to toe in a straight line, reaching for targets outside your base of support, or even walking while turning your head side to side. All activities will be performed in a safe environment with close supervision or assistance by a trained therapist.
